Entering Charleville

We reached Charleville late in the day without whacking a 'roo, though we saw a heap.

We crossed the Warrego River which back in early March flooded the town

Charleville Caravan Park

We booked into the Cobb and Co, caravan park which was 99.9% full. During the flood the waters were up to the windows.

Nerk at the Van site

After settling in, we stoked up the keg with some Gidgee timber that we had picked up along the road.

Charleville Railway Station

Finally it was time to head home, and I was to catch the train from Charleville to Brisbane.

The Westlander at Charleville Station - which was to be my 'home' for the next 17 hours.

Train leaves Charleville at 6.30pm and arrives Brisbane 11.30am next day.
