Graham Price sent us this photo of number 6 Telecommunications Operators course which was held at Ballarat from the 5th Sept 1955 to the 9th Mar 1956. Graham says the gold buttons on the 1A's, when initially issued, were black, but due to some sadistic DI's sense of fun, by the end of the course they were gold - having been relentlessly polished.
