Chimbu (or Kundiawa, to give it its real name) is situated in the Wahgi valley, which is the valley

that runs from Goroka (about 50 klms to the left of picture) to Mt Hagen (about 100klms) to the right.

This photo appears to be taken from an aircraft that has just flown through the

Bundi gap - which is the way into Chimbu from Madang.

 

If your aircraft is not airborne by the time you hit the end of the stip - it is very soon after!
